How it works:

There are 3 different ways to exfoliate: physical (abrasion by granular scrubs), chemical (melting or dissolving by enzymes and acids), and mechanical (involving machines, devices or tools). This scrub combines physical exfoliation (Sugar Beads and Honey Crystals) with chemical exfoliation (Glycolic Acid and Citric Acid) for an effective at-home treatment. The Sugar Beads and Honey Crystals are the perfect size and shape to gently scrub away dead skin cells and create little channels for the other ingredients to penetrate the epidermis. The chemical exfoliators are both from the alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) family, but Glycolic Acid is the strongest AHA. Naturally found in sugar cane, it melts away dead and damaged skin cells while triggering cells to increase collagen production. Meanwhile, Citric Acid kills bacteria and free radicals that cause inflammation and pigmentation. It brightens sun spots and acne scars by regulating melanin production in skin cells. Exfoliation can sometimes dry skin out, but all-natural Honey replenishes skin’s moisture barrier and soothes inflammation. The effect is radiant, soft and healthy skin.

How to use:

Using the enclosed spatula, stir well before each usage. Apply to clean, wet skin and massage in circular motions through the face, neck and chest until product is dissolved. Leave on for 1-2 minutes for maximum facial treatment. Rinse with warm water and follow with desired moisturizer. Use 2-3 times per week, at night only. *This product is not a cleanser. It is an exfoliating treatment.

Heather's tip:

This scrub is sticky, so I recommend using it in the shower for easy cleanup. This is a great step to use before applying your favorite serums and moisturizers. Don’t forget to recycle your glass jar when it’s empty.
