Eucerin's Redness Relief Cleansing Gel is a facial wash made with naturally soothing ingredients:

  • Licorice Root for anti-inflammatory benefits
  • Glycerin for hydrating and cleansing benefits

How it works:

Licorice Root has been used medicinally as far back as ancient Egypt. The active compound in licorice that gives it it's antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties is called Glycyrrhizin. This compound reduces redness and irritations from dermatitis, sunburn, rosacea, eczema and acne. Licochalcone, another anti-inflammatory compound in licorice root, helps balance skins oil production. Cleansers can often dry out skin and Glycerin helps counteract that effect. As a humectant, it draws moisture from the air and binds it to skin cells, helping skin stay strong and hydrated. The syrup-like texture of glycerin helps it find and remove dirt, excess oil and impurities from skins surface and pores. The verdict is clean, healthy and soothed skin.

How to use:

Gently smooth over moist face and neck, morning and night. Rinse with water and gently pat dry with a clean towel. Follow with appropriate serums and moisturizers.

Heather's tip:

This cleanser is great at removing makeup. Just make sure to double cleanse if you're using this as a makeup remover. Then continue with your skincare routine as usual.
